Located in the tranquil setting of a park in Cuneo, Piemonte, Italy, this ultra contemporary building is anything but tranquil. Its strong powerful form dominates the scene, representing the dynamics and continuous development of its owners, Porta Rossa SPA, in fact it is an image forming sculpture, instantly identified.

Reflected in a man made irrigation lake, the black glass of the faceted prism with integrated photovoltaic panels, together with the dug out moat which allow the natural illumination of the basement area containing conference facilities and parking, make this an energy efficient structure.

The four floors of the interior are split into two wings by the central stairs and service areas of bathrooms, bars and utility spaces. The open plan office spaces are the rule with the exception of the executive suites which are to be found in the separate extended part of the building,

Solid oak flooring has been used in the interior and the reception area, the external floors and ceilings are in oak and vietnam black stone with clear glass railings.

The whole concept of this building is unlike any other architectural style in the area of Piemonte, a deliberate break away by the client and designer.
